BiH suffered first defeat at European Championship, Latvia too strong

The men's junior basketball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated by the selection of Latvia with a score of 79:74, in the third round of Group D of the European Championship in Slovakia, reports the Patria agency.

The Dragons started the match poorly, trailing 20:26 after the first quarter, but with good play in the second period they managed to level the score, and after 20 minutes of play the result was 48:48.

In the third quarter, the Latvians managed to pull ahead by seven points, but the fourth quarter began with a tied score of 61:61. Right at the start, we took the lead with points from Čerkezović from the free-throw line.

However, Latvia soon turned the score around and gained a significant advantage, which they maintained until the end of the match, winning 79:74.

Čampara was the most efficient with 16 points, adding six assists and two rebounds. Čerkezović had a performance of 15 points, three assists, and four rebounds. Adžić added 12 points, and Sikiraš 11. In the winning team, the most prolific was Lacis with 18 points. (ScSport)
