BiH has gained four new national monuments

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Commission for the Preservation of National Monuments has made decisions on declaring four properties as national monuments of BiH, namely: Archaeological site – stećci near Ričina stream, Posušje municipality; Architectural ensemble – Štrosmajerova Street in Sarajevo; Architectural ensemble – Old mosque with a graveyard in Goduša near Visoko, and Historical monument – Central memorial ossuary for fallen participants of NOR, Lukavac municipality. 

The Commission members also adopted amendments and additions to the decisions on declaring the following properties as national monuments: Site and remains of a historical building – Kršlak's old house in Jajce and site and remains of an architectural ensemble – Azizija mosque with a graveyard in Brezovo Polje in Brčko District. The original decisions for the mentioned properties related to the protection of sites and remains. The mentioned objects have since been fully reconstructed and revitalized, and the amendments and additions to the decisions protect them as architectural ensembles or historical buildings, respectively.

The Chairperson of the Commission for the Preservation of National Monuments was Professor Amir Pašić, while the members were Radoje Vidović and Goran Milojević.
