BiH receives permit for transport of meat and meat products through EU territory

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović stated today in Sarajevo that the European Union, through the implementing decision of the European Commission No. 2017/1461, has expanded the list and allowed Bosnia and Herzegovina to transport meat products and processed beef and game meat through EU territory to third countries, reports the Patria agency.

- Until now, under the decision of the European Commission, we could only transport fresh meat exclusively through Bulgaria to Turkey - explained Minister Šarović.

- From now on, we can transport meat products through the entire EU territory to Russia and other countries that are not EU members and were not previously on the permitted list, thus recognizing the efforts of the Ministry and the Veterinary Office of BiH, undertaken to meet the conditions and achieve the necessary standards for exporting food of animal origin - emphasizes Minister Šarović.
