Library of the Faculty of Architecture to be Renovated with Donation from Centar Municipality

Centar Municipality Mayor Dževad Bećirević visited the Faculty of Architecture and signed a protocol with the dean of this higher education institution, Rada Čahtarević, for the reconstruction of the faculty's library, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The donation is valued at 15,000 KM, which the Centar Municipality allocated from this year's budget.

- The faculty library, which has not been renovated since the establishment of our institution, must be adapted to modern educational standards, which will be necessary for the accreditation of the curriculum with the aim of recognizing our diploma in European Union countries. The main project for the library reconstruction is ready, and we plan to complete the renovation of that space during 2015. I thank you for this and the previous support from the Centar Municipality, with which we have a signed cooperation agreement - said Dean Čahtarević.

During his visit to the Sarajevo Faculty of Architecture, Mayor Dževad Bećirević toured the multipurpose hall called 'Burence', which is used by staff and students of this faculty and the Faculty of Civil Engineering - higher education institutions located in the same building. In 2012, the Centar Municipality allocated 20,000 KM from its budget for equipping the 'Burence' hall.

This act is a continuation of the good and successful cooperation between the central city municipality and the Faculty of Architecture, which has been providing top-quality education to young professionals for the past 67 years.
