BHRT to temporarily suspend services to FTV due to unpaid debts

(Patria) - The Management Board of Radio Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina has decided to temporarily suspend the provision of services to Radio Television of FBiH starting tomorrow at 6:00 AM.

The measures are being introduced due to unpaid debts of RTV FBiH to BHRT based on issued invoices for provided services, from December 2023 to May 6, 2024, which has led to difficulties in BHRT's operations.

The debts of RTV FBiH to BHRT on this basis as of May 6, 2024, amount to 1,590,971.69 KM. At the same time, BHRT's debt to RTV FBiH on the same day is 364,511.50 KM.

This Decision applies to all services except:

- provision of services for the production of Radio and Television News and bulletins;

- mail collection services for RTV FBiH, for which Radio Television of FBiH will be responsible for further distribution within the RTV Home building in Sarajevo.

"We are aware of the gravity and seriousness of this decision, but in the interest of all employees and the functioning of BHRT, and due to the inability to reach an agreement with the management of RTV FBiH, we were forced to make this decision because previous calls for settlement of obligations had no effect," stated the Management Board of BHRT.

In case of settlement of obligations, the temporary measures will be revoked.
