The Bosnia and Herzegovina Radio-Television (BHRT) officially announced that no final decision has yet been made regarding participation in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
In the meantime, on the BH Eurovision Facebook page, they posted a promotional photo for Eurovision featuring Hajrudin Varešanović (Hari Mata Hari).
The EBU has given BHRT a deadline until November 14 to definitively declare its participation. The poor financial situation of BHRT is one of the main reasons why Bosnia and Herzegovina did not participate in Eurovision last year and this year.
BHRT states that they are interested in participating in the 60th Eurovision Song Contest, but revenues have drastically decreased. In the first nine months of 2014 alone, revenues from the RTV fee were reduced by 9 million KM. BHRT is trying to secure sponsor funds to finance the trip to Vienna and the performance at the competition for the best song in Europe, writes Patria.
