Bosnian officials send condolences and support to North Macedonia

(Patria) - Following the tragedy in which 51 young people lost their lives in a fire at a club in Kočani, North Macedonia, numerous Bosnian officials have sent telegrams of condolence and expressed solidarity and support in these difficult moments for the country. A telegram of condolence was also sent by member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović.

The Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, posted on X.

"I am deeply saddened by the terrible tragedy in Kočani, where over 50 people lost their lives in a fire. My deepest condolences to the families of the deceased – in these difficult moments, my thoughts are with you. I also express my sincere condolences to Prime Minister Mickoski
and the entire Macedonian government," she stated.

Support and solidarity were also expressed by the member of the Collegium of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Dragan Čović.

From the Assembly and Government of Sarajevo Canton to the Embassy of North Macedonia in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the leadership and citizens of this friendly country, a telegram of condolence was sent on the occasion of the great tragedy in which at least 50 people died in a fire that broke out last night in a disco in Kočani.

"We received the news of the tragic fire in the disco in North Macedonia with great sadness, in which at least 50 people lost their lives and many were injured. On behalf of the Assembly and Government of Sarajevo Canton and the citizens of Sarajevo, we extend our sincere condolences to the families of the deceased, as well as to all citizens of North Macedonia. Our hearts and thoughts are with you in these difficult moments, and our solidarity and support are with all those who are suffering due to this terrible tragedy," the telegram stated.

On the occasion of the catastrophic fire that occurred last night in a disco in North
Macedonia, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and
Herzegovina (PSBiH), Denis Zvizdić, sent a telegram of condolence to the Speaker of the Parliament (Sobranje) of the Republic of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi.

“Dear Mr. Speaker,


I received the news of the terrible fire that occurred last night, in which the lives of at least 50 of your citizens were lost and many were injured, with deep sadness. In these difficult moments, our thoughts are with the families of the victims and with all citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Please convey my most sincere condolences to the families of the deceased, and I wish the injured a speedy and successful recovery," wrote Speaker Zvizdić in the telegram.
