BH Telecom: Introduction of 4G network causing problems for mobile users

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The implementation of 4G technology is underway in BH Telecom's mobile network, and using advanced techniques, BH Telecom's 4G network will be recognizable as LTE-Advanced or 4G+ network.

"We inform users that in early April, activities on the introduction of 4G+ technology will intensify at a large number of base station locations, which may cause occasional interruptions or other forms of traffic disruption via the mobile network in certain short intervals," BH Telecom responded to the inquiry of the Patria agency.

Compared to the existing third-generation network (3G+ or HSDPA), as announced, the fourth-generation network in its advanced version (4G+) will enable BH Telecom mobile users access speeds on average ten times higher than the 3G network, opening up possibilities for significant improvement in the quality of existing services.

BH Telecom has been implementing qualitative improvements for a longer period as part of the overall network enhancement and preparation. These activities will be carried out during April and May in the area of Sarajevo, as well as in the cities of Tuzla, Mostar, and Zenica, and immediately thereafter in other areas.

Technical prerequisites for using the 4G+ network are: the user must be in the 4G+ network coverage area, possess a 4G device: mobile phone, 4G modem, etc., set to 4G/3G/2G automatic mode; the user must have a USIM card (*if they have a SIM card, they must replace it with a USIM card).
