Bosnian para-swimmer Nermin Memić sets new national record in 100m freestyle

TARRAGONA, (Patria) - The best Bosnian para-swimmer Nermin Memić competed today at the Mediterranean Games, which was his first official appearance at a major competition. 

Memić finished 12th in the 100m freestyle event in class S10 with a time of 1:29:95, which is a new national and personal record. Nermin improved his time by 7 seconds and 92 hundredths of a second.

In Tarragona, Memić was under the watchful eye of his coach Amel Kapo, who is the founder of the only swimming club in Bosnia and Herzegovina for persons with disabilities. Memić joined PK Spid a year and a half ago, and in a short time achieved excellent results. 

Coach Kapo is proud of his student and states that all persons with disabilities should follow Nermin's example.
