BH-Gas: Gas flow reduced, but we have not been officially notified

The company BH-Gas issued a statement saying that the companies Energoinvest and BH-Gas have not been officially notified by the supplier Gazprom Export about the reduced gas supply, reports Patria.

- Energoinvest and BH-Gas are monitoring the situation with limited gas supplies in the region and are taking all possible measures accordingly to prepare and protect consumers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Reduced quantities have been observed for certain percentages during the gas supply to our country – it is stated in the statement – the statement reads.

BH-Gas has planned and nominated sufficient quantities of natural gas with the Russian supplier Gazprom Export, and all consumers are regularly supplied with the contracted quantities, which is also confirmed by the fact that Toplane-Sarajevo started heating households in the Sarajevo Canton today, which requires the withdrawal of larger quantities of gas.

- The biggest threat to the regular supply of consumers in the Sarajevo Canton (but also others in BiH) is the debt of the company Sarajevogas to BH-Gas, which as of today (09/30/2014) amounts to KM 37,979,126.55. BH-Gas has repeatedly reminded this company, as well as its owner, the Government of the Sarajevo Canton, that the debt to BH-Gas must be below KM 35 million by the start of the heating season, in order to try to ensure a stable supply to Sarajevogas as the largest consumer – it is further added.

A meeting between the leaders of Gazprom Export and Energoinvest/BH-Gas is planned for October 7 in the Russian Federation, where the signing of the gas supply contract for Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2015 is expected, as well as the discussion of current topics in business relations.
