Bosnian diplomat Arifhodžić gives support to Bećirović: A child of primordial but also modern Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Prominent Bosnian diplomat Nerkez Arifhodžić has supported Denis Bećirović, the SDP candidate for the Presidency, and has also sent a letter of support.

- A child of primordial but also modern Bosnia and Herzegovina. A young, respectable man who honours the best moral and traditional values in our country, who bridges differences and enriches them through his long-standing engagement as a public figure, university professor and politician who upholds principles and his word.

A very active parliamentarian, a candidate from the Bosniak people who will certainly represent the interests of all citizens who hold our homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina dear. Educated, capable and talented to affirm, in a knowledgeable manner, everything positive in our pluralistic society, to decisively contribute with his knowledge, energy and accessibility to every person so that our country moves away from nationalist stagnation, inertia and regression, and steps more confidently onto the Euro-Atlantic path of the future.

Denis Bećirović has shown that he knows how to gather people under one flag, the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he has proven himself as a man who can effectively discuss any topic with all people in our country and abroad. He has a broad vision of what kind of country we need, what we want to improve in it, and an adequate programme, with the united forces that support him, on how to achieve this. He has shown wisdom, courage and the ability of a sincere patriot and politician in protecting the interests of our state. As a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he will be able to demonstrate more how to build Bosnia and Herzegovina's ties with the world, to affirm the positive values of our environment and, when necessary, to decisively defend the interests of our country and all its citizens.

He is a man who respects the positive legacy of the many generations who built our country, who defended it and who are building it today, in the most complex circumstances brought upon us by the politics and greed of nationalist parties, through the exhaustion of people and the hopelessness into which they have been pushed by their long-standing rule of this country. He is a politician who will know how to stop the further decline and freefall to which the current rulers have led us, he will show determination in the work of change and healing of our society, and he will be a respected representative of his country, a statesman on the international stage, whom foreign interlocutors will trust and who will make Bosnia and Herzegovina respected as a constructive member of the international community.

Bosnia and Herzegovina deserves to have such a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, open to all people, a personality with the capacity to unite, which is necessary for the times we are in, and a man who knows how to protect the dignity of the state, the people from which he comes, as well as all citizens of a pluralistic Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Therefore, I give my full support and therefore I will vote for Denis Bećirović – wrote Arifhodžić.
