Bosnian boxer Iron Puki wins WBA European title

(Patria) - Bosnian boxer Iron Puki achieved one of the most important victories of his career at a show held in Dornbirn (Austria).

Puki defeated the experienced and extremely dangerous Rashad Karimov, a fighter with an impressive professional record of 38 wins (34 by knockout) and only five losses, and deservedly won the WBA European title.

The first round was a tactical test with a few short exchanges, while the second brought a significantly stronger pace and more serious blows from both sides.



In the third round, Puki took complete control with precise, timed, and powerful punches, then completely broke down his opponent's resistance through four counts.

The first knockdown was after a right cross that cleanly hit the opponent and changed the course of the fight, and the second was after a series of strong blows to the body, after which Karimov struggled to get up.

Puki's left uppercut followed by a right cross further disrupted Karimov's rhythm, and the fourth knockdown followed a powerful right cross, after which the referee stopped the match.

In this way, Iron Puki dominantly secured the new WBA European title.

Last night, another fighter from the "Avdić" team, Edin Avdić, also celebrated, defeating the very experienced Fadhil Rajab (15-1, all 15 by knockout) by knockout in the second round. The "Avdić" team thus recorded two major victories and now has two current WBA champions.



- This is an important result for our team and for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Both fighters performed at a high level - said promoter Đorđe Arsenić.

- I am satisfied with the fight and happy that I have won the WBA European title again. Rashad Karimov is truly a machine, he has incredibly strong punches, and I am happy that I managed to defeat such an opponent attractively.
