Bosnian Ambassador from Pakistan for Patria: The earthquake was fierce

There is huge panic in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The capital was hit by an earthquake measuring 8.5 on the Richter scale, writes the Patria news agency.

The tremor was felt in several larger cities. The ground shaking was even felt in Kabul and New Delhi.

Bosnia and Herzegovina's Ambassador to Pakistan, Nedim Makarević, told the Patria news agency that all telephone lines are down.

- The earthquake lasted a very long time and was fierce. I was at the top of the tallest building in a restaurant, at a height of over 200 meters, people are panicking, screaming could be heard everywhere. The building was evacuated because they fear new ground tremors, says Makarević.

None of the employees of the BiH Embassy were injured.
