No Serbian language for students in Glamoč: Dodik won't upset Čović

(Patria) - Children of Serbian nationality in Glamoč, although Serbs are the majority there, do not have the opportunity to study the national group of subjects because the ruling parties are sweeping the problem under the rug.

Parents' appeal to the school, signing a petition, talks with the Minister of Education of Canton 10, to which Glamoč territorially belongs, have yielded no results.

"Since there is not a sufficient number of students in the classrooms to organize classes in the national group of subjects for children of Serbian nationality, it is evident that the conditions for organizing classes in the national group are not met in the said school. Therefore, classes can only be organized as supplementary classes," the Ministry responded.

The Ombudsmen then contacted the Glamoč Municipality to submit its comment and gave a 15-day deadline. However, no comment was received within the specified period, and the Ombudsmen could not determine that the Glamoč Municipality was interested in further proceedings, so the case was closed.

Srđan Puhalo, a political analyst, gave an interesting comment on this situation on social networks.

"Serbian children in Glamoč, although Serbs are the majority there, do not have the opportunity to learn the Serbian language; Dodik won't upset Čović," Puhalo wrote.
