Without consent, she suspends the Emergency Medical Service for two days: Sebija Izetbegović continues to issue orders to the General Hospital

Director of UKCS Dr. Sebija Izetbegović continues to behave as if she is also the director of the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš”.

Without the consent of the Ministry of Health of the Canton Sarajevo, headed by Zilha Ademaj (SBB), and an agreement with the directors of the other three healthcare institutions (Sarajevo Health Center, Emergency Medical Service, General Hospital), she issued an order to all heads of clinics at UKCS that, starting April 4, the Emergency Medical Service will be closed on Fridays and Mondays, and all emergency cases must be admitted to the Emergency Department of the General Hospital, reports the news agency Patria.

She also sent the letter (order) to the acting director of the General Hospital, Dr. Sead Bašić, who, after a management meeting, responded that their Emergency Department does not have sufficient capacity to provide medical assistance to emergency cases.

However, for Director Izetbegović, the response of the General Hospital management, as well as the fact that there is no consent from the relevant ministry or the Medical Chamber of Canton Sarajevo, means nothing, and she continues to do things her way.

The General Hospital warns that if her plan is implemented, the health and lives of patients will be directly endangered, for which she will have to bear responsibility.

Today, the directors of four healthcare institutions, including Director Izetbegović, are expected to hold a meeting with Minister Ademaj, where this issue will also be discussed.
