The Patria news agency reported that Goran Zubac, director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, has been on leave since Thursday, i.e., he is not appearing at the SIPA building. However, from this agency they claim that their director has been performing the duties of head of this agency properly all the time.
When asked by Patria journalists: “Does director Goran Zubac come to work?“, SIPA stated that Zubac performs regular duties and tasks within his scope of work, but did not say whether he comes to work, i.e., whether he appears at the agency building.
- The director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) Goran Zubac performs regular duties and tasks within his scope of work – SIPA told Patria.
An indictment for negligent work in service has been filed against the director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, Goran Zubac, because during the demonstrations on February 7 this year, when the building of the Presidency of BiH and other buildings were set on fire, he did not comply with requests to send a Special Unit to protect the Presidency from being burned.
As soon as the Prosecutor's Office of BiH sent the indictment against Zubac to the Court of BiH for confirmation, he should have been suspended immediately according to BiH laws. However, this has not happened to this day because the deputy director of SIPA, Đuro Knežević, refuses to sign the suspension, for which Knežević himself could ultimately bear responsibility.
The Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at a session scheduled for tomorrow, will consider the case of the indicted Zubac, which is unique in BiH practice, Patria writes.
