127,000 Customers Without Electricity in Four Cantons, Difficult Situation in Tuzla Canton

(Patria) - Despite maximum efforts and continuous work by the electrical engineering teams of Elektroprivreda BiH branches to eliminate faults, the situation with the electricity supply worsened during the night. Currently, 127,000 measuring points are without power.

The situation is extremely difficult in Tuzla Canton. Due to a fault on 70 transmission lines, more than 65,000 customers in Čelić, Tuzla, Gračanica, Gradačac, Kalesija, Kladanj, Lukavac, Sapna, Srebrenik, Živinice, and Banovići are without electricity.

In the Zenica-Doboj Canton, the most difficult situation is in Maglaj, Zavidovići, Zenica, Tešanj, Kakanj, Doboj Jug, Olovo, Tešanj, Visoko, and Vareš. 65 faults have been recorded on the medium-voltage network, leaving around 30,000 customers without supply.

The situation remains difficult in Una-Sana Canton. In Cazin, Bihać, Bosanska Krupa, Sanski Most, and Velika Kladuša, around 19,000 customers are without electricity.

Continued precipitation and snowdrifts have caused supply problems for nearly 7,000 customers in Bugojno, Travnik, Vitez, Kiseljak, Busovača, Donji Vakuf, and Fojnica in Central Bosnia Canton.

In Sarajevo Canton, four transformer stations in the Hadžići area are currently without power due to a fault on the medium-voltage network. During the night, several transient faults were recorded, causing customers in the Bjelašnica, Nišići, and Tihići areas to lose electricity.

Supply remains difficult in Konjic and Jablanica in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. Power outages are caused by faults on 35 kV, and 20 and 10 kV transmission lines, caused by the load of wet snow and broken trees. Elektroprivreda BiH electrical engineering teams are continuously in the field and are making maximum efforts to eliminate faults under extremely difficult conditions. Difficulties include inaccessibility of terrain due to heavy snowdrifts and the constant recording of new faults.

Given the extraordinary circumstances and the forecast of continued precipitation, Elektroprivreda BiH calls on its customers for patience and understanding.
