Bevanda: I hope the MPs' discussion will not be aimed at gaining cheap political points

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Vjekoslav Bevanda, also addressed those present at the session of the House of Representatives of the BiH PA, stating that he was late due to a session of the Council of Ministers of BiH because he had to go to his office to collect his belongings.

At the beginning of his address, Bevanda stated that more than 950,000 residents were displaced from their homes and that the Council of Ministers had already given its consent on May 15 to the Ministry of Security of BiH to request international assistance.

- On the same day, a decision was made to withdraw funds from the current budget. The situation on the ground was actively monitored, and additional funds were approved. Considering that international aid has also begun to arrive, the Council of Ministers has made a decision to exempt duties - said Bevanda.

- The Ministry of Finance is responsible for opening special accounts for collecting aid.

- Various ministries have been tasked with taking certain actions in accordance with their authorities. When discussing damage assessment, it should be known that it will be carried out at an expert level in accordance with international laws. The Council of Ministers also considered the dynamics of task implementation at today's session. I have tried to provide a brief overview of the Council of Ministers' work, and I talk with ministers and international organizations here daily, but I haven't even mentioned that. We must work to alleviate the critical and very, very difficult situation - added Bevanda.

- The Prime Minister also said that the situation on the ground changes every five minutes, but that the Ministry of Security and the Coordination Team will report on everything in detail.

After Bevanda's address, a half-hour break was given, after which the discussion would follow. Before the break, Bevanda said that he hopes that the MPs' discussion will not be aimed at gaining cheap political points, reports the reporter of the BiH news agency Patria.
