Belmin Zukan does not want to schedule a commission session solely for the Decision on Interim Financing; the opposition will not secure a quorum

(Patria) - The Chairman of the Legislative-Legal Commission, Belmin Zukan (SDP BiH), has no intention of scheduling a special commission session that would consider only the Decision on Interim Financing and the accompanying decisions on the Employment Institute and the Health Insurance and Reinsurance Institute, so that these could be placed on the agenda of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament scheduled for January 24.

Without commission members from the opposition, there is no quorum for holding a session of the Legislative-Legal Commission. Zukan said in the show "Istraga sedmice" that he will offer some solutions tomorrow, even suggesting that the FBiH Parliament regulate how the commission should function when there is no quorum and when it cannot convene. A session of this house is expected to be held tomorrow, where an information on the blockade of working bodies will be considered.

Commission member Haris Silajdžić (SBiH) said that members from the opposition do not attend commission sessions because an attempt is being made to push through the election of Marin Vukoje to the Constitutional Court of BiH.

"I find it incomprehensible that these two items are being combined – interim financing and amendments to the Rules of Procedure. I will not attend that commission session, even at the cost of losing my allowance or even my mandate," said Silajdžić.

He said that the entire problem arose around the election of a judge to the Constitutional Court of BiH.

"Tomorrow you will have the opportunity to continue the 4th session of the Commission for Elections and Appointments and to submit the list to the House of Representatives of the PFBiH," said Silajdžić.

He added that the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PFBiH, Edina Gabela, will propose the continuation of the 4th interrupted session of the Commission for Elections and Appointments.

He appealed to Zukan to convene the Legislative-Legal Commission with a single agenda item, namely interim financing, so that we do not end up in a blockade of the Federation of BiH.

Belmin Zukan said that he schedules the commission session and its agenda according to the agenda of the House of Representatives session.

He believes that the amendments to the Rules of Procedure proposed by HDZ, the troika, and PDA are correct and will contribute to unblocking the FBiH Parliament.
