Begović hands over check to local club

Asmir Begović, goalkeeper for English club Stoke and a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, recently opened his Foundation and has now handed over the first check. Begović donated 1,000 pounds for the purpose of youth sports development to Redgate Clayton, a club currently renovating facilities at their ground on Northwood Lane.

- We are delighted to be able to help a local football club, as that is our goal. To help sports teams so that children can be involved in sports and live and grow up healthier – said Begović, reports the Patria News Agency.

Otherwise, Begović opened the Foundation in November last year with the aim of helping sports teams both in BiH and around the world.
