Begović opens sports field in Mjedenica on Monday

The sports field of the Institute for Special Education and Upbringing of Children Mjedenica will be ceremonially opened on Monday, 23 March 2015 at 1:30 PM by the Bosnian national football team player, Asmir Begović, reports the Patria news agency.

Begović will also visit the Mjedenica Institute as a donor of the project and get acquainted with the students and their activities. The ceremony will also be attended by the Mayor of Stari Grad Municipality Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, the President of the Special Olympics of Bosnia and Herzegovina Enver Ćosićkić, and as host, the Director of the Institute Selmir Hadžić.

After the gala dinner held on 14 September 2014 at the Britannia Stadium in Stoke, England, the Asmir Begović Foundation raised 50,000 pounds, part of which was allocated for the construction of the sports field that began in early October.

- Being a footballer and playing at the highest level carries another kind of responsibility, which is to share our success with our most loyal fans, and those are undoubtedly children. I am happy to have the opportunity to help those whom society sometimes unjustly forgets, and the Foundation is an excellent platform for such things, and I look forward to spending time with the children on Monday at the Mjedenica Institute - Begović pointed out.
