Beganović: Migrants in Velika Kladuša returned to camp, situation calm

VELIKA KLADUŠA, (Patria) - The situation in Velika Kladuša is calm, and all migrants were returned to the camp last night, confirmed for the Patria news agency from the MUP of USK.

- The all-day effort yesterday by about two hundred migrants to enter Croatia on foot from Velika Kladuša via the Maljevac border crossing failed. They were returned to the camp. There were no conflicts with the police – said Ado Beganović from the MUP of KS to Patria.

Yesterday, nearly 200 migrants without valid documents set out from Velika Kladuša towards Croatia, i.e. the European Union, but they failed to cross the border, so the attempt turned into an all-day peaceful protest. The border crossing was briefly closed.

The migrants accommodated in Velika Kladuša decided on this action after one migrant killed another during a scuffle on Friday.
