Bećirović: Protecting the constitutional order of BiH preserves peace and stability

(Patria) - The vital interest of Bosniaks, Serbs, Croats, and all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the protection of the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Only in this way can we protect peace, security, and all together focus on economic and all other social development, said member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović.

In a post on his Facebook profile, Bećirović emphasized that Milorad Dodik is consciously abusing his position, even though he knows he is not any interpreter of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of BiH, as its annex.

“The bodies for the final interpretation of this international agreement, as well as for the exclusive jurisdiction to decide on any dispute arising under the Constitution of BiH, are clearly prescribed. All signatories of the Dayton Peace Agreement agreed to such solutions at the end of 1995, which was witnessed by the major world powers with their signatures. An anti-Dayton attempt by unauthorized individuals and bodies to interpret the content of the Dayton Peace Agreement represents a direct and brutal attack on this international agreement. The rule of law is a conditio sine qua non of a democratic and legal state, and everyone should be aware of that,” Bećirović stressed.

He adds that Bosnia and Herzegovina has institutions, laws, and people who are tasked, each according to their competencies, to protect the constitutional order of the state.

Among other things, the state also has the Armed Forces of BiH, he states.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina organizes, develops, and maintains the military capacity and readiness of the Armed Forces for:
a) ensuring the sovereignty, territorial integrity, political independence, and international subjectivity of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” explains the member of the BiH Presidency.

He adds that individuals who, due to personal interests, try to endanger 30 years of building and preserving peace in the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina are playing with fire.

“The fire they are trying to ignite with their anti-Dayton and destructive policy would have unforeseeable proportions and consequences,” Bećirović underlined.
