Bećirović extends Easter greetings

(Patria) - BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović today extended greetings on the occasion of the upcoming Christian holidays of Easter and Vaskrs.

Bećirović congratulated Archbishop of Vrhbosna Tomo Vukšić, clergy, and all Catholics in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad on the greatest Christian holiday, Easter.

"Your Eminence, Archbishop of Vrhbosna Monsignor Tomo Vukšić, I congratulate you, the clergy, and all Catholics in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad on the greatest Christian holiday, Easter, with the wish that you spend it in an atmosphere of peace, spiritual renewal, and family joy.

Easter, as a great Christian holiday, carries universal messages of hope, love, and the victory of life over death, good over evil, light over darkness. In a time of numerous challenges, this holiday reminds us of the importance of mutual understanding, tolerance, solidarity, and compassion, as well as faith that through joint efforts we can build a more just and humane society.

In this festive moment, I want to emphasize the importance of interreligious dialogue and trust among people – values that are the foundation of Bosnian-Herzegovinian society and the European civilization to which we belong.

By nurturing a culture of respect and dialogue, we take a step further towards a more stable and just future for all our citizens.

I wish you to spend Easter in peace and joy with family, friends, and neighbors. Happy Easter," Bećirović stated.

Bećirović extended greetings on the occasion of the Orthodox holiday of Vaskrs to Metropolitan Hrizostom of Dabar-Bosna and all Orthodox believers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Your Eminence Mr. Hrizostom, Metropolitan of Dabar-Bosna, I extend my sincerest greetings to you and all Orthodox believers in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of Vaskrs.

Vaskrs is a holiday of hope, spiritual renewal, and peace. In a time of global and domestic challenges, holidays like this remind us of the strength of universal values – solidarity, mutual respect, mercy, and coexistence. These values are the pillars of life together in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I am convinced that Vaskrs will again this year be an inspiration to turn more strongly towards each other, building trust, tolerance, and open dialogue among all people of good will.

I wish all Orthodox believers to welcome and spend Vaskrs in spiritual peace, health, and family warmth, sharing joy with neighbors and friends. Happy Vaskrs," Bećirović conveyed.
