Bećirović warns: 'Peaceful separation' is a euphemism and means an attack on peace and the state

(Patria) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović reacted to anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional announcements of initiating an agreement on so-called peaceful separation.

"The authorities of the BiH entity RS will never have an interlocutor for 'peaceful separation', nor any other 'separation', because no one has the right to even think about discussing the division and destruction of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The state of Bosnia and Herzegovina was not created by 'unification' in Dayton. The continuity of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is precisely regulated by provisions of international and national law.

Bosnia and Herzegovina existed both before and after Dayton, and the entities did not exist before Dayton and cannot exist without it. The institutions of the state of BiH and the international community have clear obligations regarding the protection of peace and the constitutional order.

All those who attack the state will be defeated sooner or later. Advocates of anti-constitutional policy must know that overthrowing the constitutional order is punishable by a long-term prison sentence.

No responsible Bosnian-Herzegovinian official should even accept at the registry any paper on the so-called 'agreement on separation of the entities RS and FBiH'.

Political officials must not respond to such a scandalous and anti-Dayton paper. It should be adequately addressed by the competent judicial authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the High Representative of the international community, and other international factors that guarantee the Dayton Peace Agreement.

We must remind the international and domestic public that whenever Slobodan Milošević, Radovan Karadžić, and other Greater Serbian protagonists used the terms 'peaceful' and 'peace', behind them they took steps that were their opposite.

Therefore, we must clearly explain that the phrase 'peaceful separation' is a euphemism used to soften a dangerous, destructive, and criminal intention.

The euphemism 'peaceful separation' essentially means:

• undermining the peace process and threatening peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region;

• violating fundamental norms of international and national law;

• undermining the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of BiH;

• attempting to destroy a full member of the United Nations - the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina;

• threatening new genocide and crimes against humanity.

On the side of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina are legal, historical, moral, civilizational, economic, demographic, and numerous other reasons.

Legal reasons are reflected in the provisions of international and national law that protect the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and provide no legal argument for the breakup of our state.

History teaches us that Bosnia and Herzegovina survived after turbulent and difficult centuries. It could not be destroyed even by much stronger factors than those attacking it today.

Moral and civilizational reasons warn that after the committed genocide, crimes against humanity, and other crimes, it is inadmissible to even think about embarking again on a criminal project to destroy the multi-ethnic state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Economic reasons indicate that any separatist adventurism would have catastrophic consequences for the BiH economy, businessmen, workers, and generally the living standard of citizens.

Demographic arguments point out to reasonable people that half of the state's population has already fled from dangerous warmongering policies.

A new escalation of unreasonable behavior would lead to a complete demographic collapse, especially in the BiH entity RS.

Finally, so there is no dilemma, separatists must know that BiH patriots and their allies will never, at any cost, allow the destruction of the state of BiH," Bećirović stated.
