Bećirović in London discusses with the head of British diplomacy David Lammy

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović met in London with the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) David Lammy. Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić also attended the meeting.

The current security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina was discussed, with a special focus on the attack on the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the threats to the Dayton Peace Agreement by the leadership of the BiH entity Republika Srpska, as well as jointly finding solutions to counter this destructive anti-Dayton action.

Bećirović informed Minister Lammy about the attempts to undermine the institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which seriously endanger peace, stability, and security both in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the entire Western Balkan region. He emphasized that it is of utmost importance for international partners and allies, among whom the UK plays a key role, to continue to provide strong support for preserving the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the conversation, Minister Lammy reiterated the UK's firm and unquestionable support for the preservation of the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized that the UK closely follows the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkan region, and that it will continue to support efforts to preserve peace and stability in our country in the future.

He stated that the UK stands with the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the state institutions, and expressed its determination to support measures that lead to the preservation of peace, stability, and its prosperity, for the benefit of all its citizens and peoples.

During the conversation, member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović thanked for the consistent and principled support for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stressed that this support represents a strong message to all those who are trying to disrupt the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the stability of our country.
