Bećirović: The third entity advocated by Dodik should be formed in Posavina

Milorad Dodik's latest proposal on HRT is that „Croats should be given a third entity and without it there is no BiH“. On this occasion, SDP's Denis Bećirović, whose statement we are transmitting in full.

Given that Dodik is seeking out-of-Dayton solutions, I propose that his idea be realized in the following way:

1. That the third BiH entity encompass the area of Bosanska Posavina that does not belong to the BiH entity of the Federation of BiH and Brčko District of BiH.

2. That the third BiH entity be named Bosanska Posavina,

3. That the administrative center of the third BiH entity, Bosanska Posavina, be the city of Derventa,

4. That revitalization measures be adopted at the state level

for the recovery of Bosanska Posavina as a specific ethnic-territorial-political unit within the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which should enable the free and accelerated development of Bosanska Posavina Croats, Bosniaks, Serbs, and Others.

5. That immediately after the establishment of the BiH entity of Bosanska Posavina, measures be adopted to stop the depopulation and emigration of citizens from this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

6. That by forming the BiH entity of Bosanska Posavina, displaced Bosanska Posavina Croats, Bosniaks, Serbs, and Others be provided with an equal, just, and appropriate administrative-territorial framework. Such a BiH entity would enable the preservation of mutual ties and the development of the Bosanska Posavina segment within the state identity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Finally, Dodik should know that his rhetoric and policies can also lead to a series of solutions that neither he nor his subordinates are currently considering.
