Bećirović Requests Emergency Session of the BiH Presidency and Protection of the Constitutional and Legal Order of the State of BiH

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović submitted a proposal for holding an emergency session of the BiH Presidency to adopt
the Draft Conclusions of the BiH Presidency regarding the escalation of attacks by the authorities of the entity Republika Srpska on the fundamental provisions of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the threat to the constitutional and legal order of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the explanation, Bećirović stated that the anti-Dayton and unconstitutional activities of the authorities of the BiH entity Republika Srpska (RS) have intensified from 2021 to the present. As part of the illegal activities of the entity authorities of the RS from July 2021 to the present, the following unconstitutional and anti-Dayton acts have been adopted.

The latest is the Law on Non-Application of Decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Territory of the RS, which stipulates that decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH will not be applied or enforced on the territory of the RS, and that provisions of the law prescribing the publication of laws and other regulations of the RS are temporarily suspended, in the part relating to regulations and other acts adopted by the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The adopted law has not yet entered into force, but its adoption under urgent procedure unequivocally indicates the institutional anti-Dayton and unconstitutional activities of the entity authorities directed against the constitutional and legal order of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Some of the mentioned anti-Dayton and unconstitutional acts of the entity authorities of the RS have been annulled through the actions of the competent institutions established by the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of BiH. Nevertheless, the illegal activities of the entity authorities of the RS clearly confirm a dangerous planned intensification of anti-Dayton activities aimed at destroying the peace agreement and the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina," it is stated.
