Bećirović: All institutions must continue to function, regardless of whether some individuals withdraw from them

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović, during an emergency address regarding the current political situation, said that all institutions must act in accordance with the laws and the rule of law.

He emphasized that there is a lot of information regarding the events at SIPA, but that in times of crisis only verified information should be discussed.

He stressed that he expects SIPA to work in accordance with the laws of BiH.

“All institutions must continue to function, regardless of whether some individuals withdraw from them. I call on all employees to work responsibly,” said Bećirović.

He said that anyone who tries to forcibly prevent officials from performing their duties commits a criminal offense.

“I call on the Prosecutor's Office of BiH to continue prosecuting individuals who act unconstitutionally,” said Bećirović.

He once again called on EUFOR to strengthen its forces and deploy them at strategic points. He also did the same with NATO.

Incidentally, this address comes after the National Assembly of the RS adopted laws, which led to an appeal being filed with the Constitutional Court of BiH.

“For his own personal interests, he wants to cause full destabilization in our country because of a court verdict. The first-instance verdict of the Court of BiH against Milorad Dodik, as well as first-instance verdicts against other individuals, have nothing to do with Serbs, Croats, Bosniaks, and others in our country, because courts do not judge peoples or collectivities.

This is about an individual who imagines himself to be both the people and the entity. In these complex circumstances, it is very important to protect the constitutional order of BiH through lawful action, because only in this way can we preserve peace and stability.

Anyone who attacks the state of BiH must know that the state will respond strongly. All those who violate the laws will face consequences. I call on all people not to fall for tricks and provocations. We must act rationally, soberly, calmly, and decisively,” said Bećirović, concluding that the state of BiH will prevail.

Incidentally, Bećirović said that a request was submitted for an emergency session of the Presidency, but that Željka Cvijanović is violating the rules of procedure and not convening the session.
