Bećirović: UN Courts Ruled That Genocide Was Committed Against Bosniaks and a Joint Criminal Enterprise Against the State of BiH

(Patria) - BiH Presidency Chairman Denis Bećirović stated in his address that they are respectfully bidding farewell to 14 victims of the genocide in Srebrenica.

“We must show special respect to the mothers of Srebrenica; they are the true heroines of today. Love is stronger than hate, and truth is stronger than lies.

A resolution on the International Day of Remembrance of the Genocide was adopted in the UN General Assembly, and we are marking it for the first time at the UN headquarters.

This is one of the most important diplomatic, political, and moral victories dedicated to the victims and their families, and the implementation of the resolution has begun and no one can stop it. Today's international commemoration in New York is being marked by the Permanent Mission of BiH to the UN, and from next year, the UN Secretary-General and Secretariat will take over.

In the coming period, July 11 will be the International Day of Remembrance of the Genocide in Srebrenica, and no one can erase that.

We respect neighboring Serbia and its citizens. We want peace and equal cooperation. Peace is threatened by the regime in Belgrade. This is a policy that, even with the example of the resolution, tries to turn defeat into victory. BiH policy cannot fall into the trap of turning victory into defeat.

UN Courts have ruled that genocide was committed against Bosniaks, as well as a Joint Criminal Enterprise against the state of BiH. Despite these verdicts, the bodies of the BiH entity of Rs are threatening the state of BiH.

Therefore, it is important for us in BiH to answer the questions of whether there are similarities between the situation at the beginning of 1992 and today.

Only states and state institutions can save us from danger,” said Bećirović.

He stated that work must be done on the realization of foreign policy priorities.

“We are in the heart of Europe, and we are part of the EU. We are also at the doorstep of NATO, and our task is to fight for the future of BiH,” said Bećirović.
