Bećirović with Meinl-Reisinger: Separatists will be sanctioned

(Patria) - BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović spoke with Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Beate Meinl-Reisinger.

Bećirović informed Minister Meinl-Reisinger about the continuation of attacks on the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Dayton Peace Agreement, which represent a direct threat to peace and security in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in the region.

Bećirović emphasized that the leadership of the RS entity, through legally unfounded acts, directly endangers the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also recalled the long-standing activities of the RS entity leadership, marked by a systematic attempt to undermine the constitutional and legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, stated that the attacks by the RS leadership on the independence and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina are unacceptable and dangerous for the security and stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire region. She emphasized that the Republic of Austria, together with the Federal Republic of Germany, in agreement with European partners, has initiated measures to prevent three responsible politicians from the Republic of Srpska from entering Austria and Germany. She said that actions and laws leading to secession will not be tolerated.

During the conversation, the BiH Presidency member highlighted the very important role of the Republic of Austria in building the internal stability and security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the participation of its contingent in the EUFOR - ALTHEA Mission. He emphasized the very good cooperation on Republic of Austria projects for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of defense and security. He also pointed out the fact that nearly 200,000 citizens of the Republic of Austria originating from Bosnia and Herzegovina represent an important bridge of cooperation between the two countries.

Bećirović thanked the friendly Republic of Austria for its overall assistance and support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, both bilaterally and multilaterally.
