
(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović held a meeting with generals of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during which the current situation, as well as European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina were discussed. The interlocutors jointly emphasized that no one should underestimate the strength of the legal organs of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its patriots, as well as the determination to preserve peace and independence of the country.
At the beginning of the meeting, the generals of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina thanked Bećirović for the reception at the BiH Presidency and pointed out the importance of this type of conversation.
Denis Bećirović emphasized the important role of the generals of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in defending the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the fully-fledged member of the United Nations – the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stressed that their contribution and merits must be valued, and the status of the veterans of the defensive-liberation war improved.
During the conversation, the importance of strengthening peace, security, and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina was highlighted, as a prerequisite for the country's progress, both in economic and other areas, including the initiated integration processes.
The generals of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina stated that they see Bosnia and Herzegovina as a country of democracy, human rights, peace, progress, and mutual respect.
The interlocutors agreed that, in addition to full membership in the EU, the strategic interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina is also membership in the NATO alliance.
The generals of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina gave full support to the political and diplomatic actions of the member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović, primarily in foreign policy activities aimed at protecting the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They also expressed their readiness to provide advisory support with their knowledge and experience on issues important for the defense and security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
