Bećirović with Austrian Ambassador Georg Diwald: Support for BiH's Euro-Atlantic Path

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović spoke with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georg Diwald, about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, as well as about strengthening bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of
Austria.

Bećirović thanked for the overall support and assistance of the Republic of Austria to Bosnia and Herzegovina at the bilateral and multilateral level. He emphasized the consistent and strong support of the Republic of Austria for the European and Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He particularly pointed to the principled stance and readiness of the Republic of Austria to clearly respond
to anti-Dayton activities in our country, which was confirmed by the imposition of sanctions
on politicians who undermine the constitutional order and the Dayton Peace Agreement.

He also highlighted the important role of the Republic of Austria in preserving the internal stability and security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the participation of its contingent in the EUFOR - ALTHEA mission. 

The Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georg Diwald, said that Austria
continues to support the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to strengthen economic ties
between the two countries. He emphasized that preserving the institutional stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina
is important for peace and the European and Euro-Atlantic future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The interlocutors noted that bilateral relations between the two countries are good and extremely friendly, and that it is important to continue deepening the ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of
Austria. It was emphasized that friendly relations are accompanied by particularly well-developed cooperation at the
economic level, given that the Republic of Austria is also the largest investor in Bosnia
and Herzegovina.
