Bećirović with a delegation from Krug 99: The important role of the intellectual community in strengthening the pro-state consciousness

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović spoke today with a delegation from the Association of Independent Intellectuals Krug 99, which included Adil Kulenović, Dr. Šukrija Bakšić, Dr. Hazim Bašić, Dr. Aleksandar Knežević, Dr. Muharem Avdispahić, and Fuad Đidić.

During the conversation, Bećirović emphasized the important role of the intellectual community in articulating public policies, affirming democratic principles, and strengthening pro-state consciousness.

He stressed that the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina should affirm expertise, knowledge, and reasoned dialogue, and build partnerships with the non-governmental sector, which is an important corrective factor in democratic societies.

During an open and substantive discussion, opinions were exchanged on current socio-political challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with an emphasis on strengthening state institutions.



The participants of the meeting emphasized the necessity of continuously promoting the values of democracy, academic freedoms, critical thinking, and civic engagement.

Members of the Krug 99 delegation thanked the member of the Presidency of BiH for his continuous commitment to a democratic state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They emphasized the significance of Bećirović's intensive diplomatic activity and the strengthening of international support for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bećirović pointed out that the role of the academic community and civil society is irreplaceable in the fight for the democratic development and stability of the country.

At the end of the meeting, Bećirović thanked the members of Krug 99 for their engagement so far and expressed his readiness to continue cooperation and dialogue on key state and social issues.
