
(Patria) - As part of intensive activities aimed at opening BiH's negotiations with the EU, member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović also spoke today with the Ambassador of France François Delmas.
The current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, activities aimed at opening negotiations with the EU, and relations between the two countries were discussed.
Bećirović expressed hope that the EU will make a decision in March to open negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, which would further influence the implementation of essential reforms in our country.
Ambassador Delmas emphasized that France supports the European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bećirović thanked for the principled and continuous support that France provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina and its path towards full membership in the EU.
Ambassador Delmas also stated that France, as a witness to the Dayton Peace Agreement, will continue to support the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bećirović also recalled important talks with the President of France Emmanuel Macron in Paris and the Special Representative of France for the Western Balkans René Troccaz in Sarajevo, during which support for the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina was expressed.
During the conversation, it was stated that the very good political relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and France are a very good basis for strengthening economic cooperation.
