
(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović spoke with ambassadors and representatives of NATO member countries in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the residence of the Kingdom of Norway, which represents the contact embassy for Bosnia and Herzegovina for cooperation with NATO. The meeting was also attended by the Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Brigadier General Pamela McGaha.
During the meeting, Denis Bećirović pointed out the seriousness of the situation in Bosnia and
Herzegovina and emphasized that the constitutional order in our country is threatened due to unconstitutional and anti-Dayton decisions by the authorities of the BiH entity of RS. Dr. Bećirović said that the fundamental provisions of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been attacked, and that such actions threaten peace and security in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.
Member of the Presidency of BiH Bećirović stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the West are at a crossroads and that it is necessary to stop separatist moves and brutal attacks on the foundations of the Dayton Peace Agreement as soon as possible. It is very important that NATO continues to concretely support the multi-ethnic state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović said that full membership of Bosnia and Herzegovina in NATO is one of the two main strategic foreign policy goals of our country and that stronger support is needed to accelerate Bosnia and Herzegovina's path to the North Atlantic Alliance.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway Olav Reinertsen, as the host, as well as
representatives of other NATO member countries in Bosnia and Herzegovina, thanked Bećirović for the constructive conversation and his activities so far.
