Bećirović talked with members of the Coordination Office of Bosniak National Councils

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović talked with representatives of the Coordination Office of Bosniak National Councils, who arrived in Sarajevo from Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, the United States of America, and Canada.

During the talks, Bećirović emphasized that the meeting of Bosniak councils in Sarajevo is an important and concrete step in the process of their mutual connection and establishment of strong cooperation with civil society organizations in the homeland.

He informed the guests that the Global Network of BiH Diaspora has started operating within his Cabinet, with the aim of connecting citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the diaspora.

The guests informed Bećirović that in the coming days they will consider important issues regarding the status of Bosniaks in the countries where they currently reside. The adoption of strategic documents and symbols of the Bosniak people is also planned, and closer connection and cooperation with the homeland will be considered.

The delegation of the Coordination Office of Bosniak National Councils included: Suljo Mustafić, president of the Bosniak Council in Montenegro, chairman of the Office; M.Sc. Emir Zlatar, Secretary General of the Congress of Bosniak Intellectuals of Bosnia and Herzegovina, executive secretary of the Office; Acad. Prof. Dr. Hasnija Tuna Muratagić, President of the Steering Board of the Congress of Bosniak Intellectuals of BiH.

Also present at the meeting were Mirsad Rastoder, president of the Executive Board of the Bosniak Council in Montenegro; Prof. Dr. Misala Pramenković, president of the Bosniak National Council in Serbia; M.Sc. Fuad Baćićanin, president of the Executive Board of the BNV in Serbia; Kadro Kulašin, president of the Coordination of County Councils, City of Zagreb Councils, and representatives for counties of the Bosniak national minority in the Republic of Croatia.

Also present were Dževad Hot, president of the Bosniak National Council in North Macedonia; Academician Fehim Husković, vice-president of the Bosniak National Council of North Macedonia; Eldin Kajević, Congress of Bosniaks of North America (USA and Canada); Agim Ferati, member of the Consultative Council of the Bosniak people community within the Office of the President of Kosovo; M.Sc. Edhem Bičakčić, president of the Organizational Committee of the Coordination Office for organizing and coordinating the Conference of Bosniak Organizations, Institutions, and Agencies – Sarajevo 2024; Emeritus Prof. Dr. Enver Imamović, president of the Committee for the Development of the Resolution on Bosniak Symbols of the Coordination Office, and Academician Prof. Dr. Dževad Jahić, president of the Committee for the Bosnian Language and Literature of the Coordination Office.
