Bećirović spoke with ambassadors of the Friends of the Western Balkans group of countries

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović held a meeting at the BiH Presidency with ambassadors and representatives of the embassies of the member countries of the Friends of the Western Balkans group.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Austria to BiH Georg Diwald, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic Jana Lolić Šindelková, the Ambassador of Greece Ioanna Efthymiadou, the Ambassador of Croatia Ivan Sabolić, the Ambassador of Italy Sarah Eti Castellani, and the representative of the Embassy of Slovakia Lucia Balážová.

During the talks, opinions were exchanged on the current political and security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider regional context.

Bećirović pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to face systematic attacks on the constitutional order of the state, including the adoption of unconstitutional acts and attempts to undermine key state institutions.

As the latest example, he cited recent activities related to the establishment of a reserve police force in the BiH entity of Rs, which represents a direct threat to peace and security, with the aim of destabilizing the state.

The ambassadors thanked the member of the BiH Presidency for the reception and constructive conversation, and emphasized that their visit is intended to encourage the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a new momentum in activities related to European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

They added that their goal is to encourage institutions to respect constitutionality and legality.

During the meeting, Bećirović emphasized that any illegal and rotten compromises with the destroyers of the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina cannot bring anything good to either Bosnia and Herzegovina or the European Union.

Those who destroy the constitutional order and the Dayton Peace Agreement must be sanctioned, not rewarded for their unconstitutional activities.

All democratic countries should join the United States of America, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Austria, the Republic of Poland, and the Republic of Lithuania in sanctioning the destroyers of peace and the constitutional order.

In the context of foreign policy priorities, Bećirović reiterated that Bosnia and Herzegovina remains firmly committed to membership in the NATO alliance and the European Union.

He emphasized that European and Euro-Atlantic integration processes are key to the long-term stability, security, and progress of the entire region.

The interlocutors jointly assessed that preserving the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina is of fundamental importance for the stability of the Western Balkans and Europe.
