Bećirović spoke with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic Jana K. Lolić Šindelková

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović spoke with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Bosnia and Herzegovina Jana K. Lolić Šindelková, and during the conversation it was stated that bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic are extremely good.

The interlocutors also welcomed the activities in the field of multilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Bećirović emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with the Czech Republic, a full member of the European Union (EU) and NATO. He thanked for the strong support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to full membership in the EU and NATO. He also pointed out the significance of the active involvement of the Czech Republic in the process of preserving peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, emphasizing that the stability of the EU is not possible without a stable and prosperous Western Balkans.

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Bosnia and Herzegovina Jana K. Lolić Šindelková emphasized that the Czech Republic supports the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ambassador Šindelková stressed the Czech Republic's commitment to continuing support for Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European and Euro-Atlantic path.

Bećirović expressed gratitude for the donation of approximately one million euros, which the Czech Republic approved for the procurement of modern technical equipment for monitoring the BiH border, as well as for the continuous development assistance that the Czech Republic provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina through various projects.

The Member of the BiH Presidency recalled that he also discussed strengthening relations between the two countries with the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel, at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York. On that occasion, he also thanked for the support in adopting the Resolution on July 11 as the International Day of Remembrance and Commemoration of the Genocide in Srebrenica in 1995 in the UN General Assembly.

During the conversation, it was stated that there are numerous opportunities for improving cooperation in the fields of economy, education, and culture. Readiness was expressed to accelerate the process of finalizing negotiations on agreements that are currently in the initiation and negotiation phase between the two countries.
