Bećirović discussed the importance of genocide memorialization with scientists and war crimes researchers

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović spoke with senior research associate of the Institute for Research of Crimes Against Humanity and International Law of the University of Sarajevo Muamer Džananović, research associate of the Institute for Research of Crimes Against Humanity and International Law of the University of Sarajevo Hikmet Karčić, president of the Post-Conflict Research Center Velma Šarić, Srebrenica genocide survivor Nirha Efendić, and president of the "Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide" Murat Tahirović.

During the meeting, numerous activities in the field of genocide memorialization were discussed, with a special emphasis on scientific research and the publication of works on genocide.

It is of exceptional importance to inform the international public about the consequences of genocide and other mass crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, so during the meeting, they called on all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina around the world to engage in their own way in spreading the story of genocide, mass crimes, and aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The interlocutors stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina's experiences can help other peoples and states, but above all, new generations of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to prevent genocide and to live in peace and freedom.
