Bećirović received EUFOR Commander in BiH Lászlo Sticz on farewell visit

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović today received the Commander of the European Forces (EUFOR) in BiH, Major General Lászlo Sticz, on a farewell visit.

The current security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, were discussed.

Bećirović congratulated the EUFOR Commander in BiH on his successful mission in our country and wished him a successful continuation of his professional career.

He also emphasized that Sticz showed a high level of professionalism during his tenure as head of EUFOR, in implementing EUFOR's important role in preserving stability and security in BiH.

Outgoing Commander Sticz thanked Bećirović for the excellent cooperation, expressing hope that BiH will continue to strengthen stability and security, with the full support of international military forces.

Bećirović said it is important for EUFOR to continue to consistently implement the UN Security Council Resolution in the coming period, which defines EUFOR's mandate, including the protection of the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Furthermore, the interlocutors pointed out the importance of EUFOR's support in providing assistance during natural disasters, which proved important during the catastrophic floods and fires last year.

It was highlighted that EUFOR made its logistical capacities available, which provided support to domestic institutions in activities aimed at removing the consequences of the floods.
