
(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović received the Special Envoy of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for the Western Balkans Manuel Sarrazin. Bećirović, with words of welcome, expressed satisfaction with the overall bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany, assessing that institutional cooperation and the intensity of visits are at a high level.
He reiterated his gratitude for positioning Bosnia and Herzegovina high on the German political agenda regarding European integration. He assessed that German support for reform and integration processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina is of exceptional importance on the BiH political scene.
Speaking about the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Special Envoy Sarrazin emphasized the importance of focusing efforts on implementing reforms and fulfilling the 14 priorities from the European Commission's Opinion. Special Envoy Sarrazin stated that Germany will continue to provide support to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the countries of the region through the Berlin Process, with the aim of bringing these countries closer to the European Union.
Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović welcomed the engagement of friendly Germany on the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the countries of the region. He highlighted the importance of continuing the reform process in Bosnia and Herzegovina and regional cooperation for economic progress, the adoption of the green agenda, stability, and prosperity, which are also priorities and focus areas for European Union countries.
On behalf of the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić, advisor Vanja Filipović attended the meeting.
