Bećirović: I am proud to be supported by all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Bosniak Movement has given support to Denis Bećirović's candidacy for the member of the Presidency of BiH, and an identical protocol as with A-SDA was signed earlier between the president of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić and Sejfudin Tokić.

Tokić said that it is a pleasure to support Bećirović because of his persistent and consistent action in the most important issues of defending the sovereignty of the state of BiH, and protecting the Bosniak people, reports the Patria agency.

- He is the most credible representative of the Bosniak people in these elections. My similar cooperation with Bećirović is long, and I believe that the Bosniak people at this historic moment and all patriots in BiH should not miss the opportunity to get a member of the Presidency of BiH who will act on the entire territory of BiH and who will build relations with both neighbors and the international community in a way that affirms the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of BiH – said Tokić.

He said that Bećirović can affirm anti-fascism and the history of the Bosniak people more than any other member of the Presidency of BiH.

In his address, Bećirović said that at the Convention he stated that the ability to create alliances is of key importance for the future of BiH.

- In the coming days, a large number of political parties are joining this project of fighting for a sovereign, independent state of BiH. This is an alliance and an agreement that this country should move as strongly as possible towards Euro-Atlantic integrations, this is an alliance for the equality of all citizens of BiH, all citizens and all peoples – said Bećirović.

He emphasized that this equality must be the same on every inch of BiH.

- This must also be the equality of peoples, languages and scripts and all religious communities, which is currently not the case. I do not see that anyone in BiH should be against the policy of equality. Some are bothered by alliances, they have learned to divide and separate. We want to invite people in this way to move forward. Let those who see people gathering around a common program not be vain and jealous – said Bećirović.

The candidate for the Presidency of BiH said that he also received support from a large number of Croatian intellectuals, and earlier he received support from the Serbian Civic Council. Bećirović said that his goal is to unite Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- I am proud of that fact. I am a man who has said many times that I will not take any step that harms any citizen in this country. We need to gather around our homeland BiH. 

Bećirović emphasized that this country should be gathered around a common goal.

- It is time for a more positive BiH, people are waking up and I am glad that we have awakened a ray of optimism - said Bećirović.
