Bećirović on the death of Professor Zgodić: He made an invaluable contribution to science

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović expressed condolences on the death of Professor Emeritus Esad Zgodić, a long-time professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Sarajevo.

„Dear Zgodić family,

I was deeply saddened by the news of the death of the esteemed Professor Emeritus Esad Zgodić. His passing leaves a great void in the academic community and the entire Bosnian-Herzegovinian society. Professor Esad Zgodić made an invaluable contribution to science, as evidenced by the enormous scientific and research opus he leaves behind. He will be remembered as the author of numerous books, and a significant number of scientific, professional, and journalistic works.

Professor Esad Zgodić was an extremely dedicated, excellent, and uncompromising researcher, a highly respected scientist in the academic community, and esteemed among colleagues and students of numerous generations, to whom he selflessly passed on his knowledge.

Professor Zgodić is a true example of an engaged intellectual, and his death is a great and irreparable loss for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was a good and inspiring man. His endless wisdom and friendship will forever be etched in my memory. I extend my sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all those who had the honor and privilege of knowing the esteemed Professor Emeritus Esad Zgodić“.
