Bećirović: Neum is a smokescreen behind which Dodik pursues anti-Dayton separatist activities

(Patria) - Denis Bećirović, SDP Vice-President, stated that meetings of party leaders cannot replace sessions of state authorities. Neum is not the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but Sarajevo.

"The leaders of political parties who, outside the state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are unauthorizedly negotiating the fate of our country, Bosnia and Herzegovina, must know the following elementary facts:

- The capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not Neum, but Sarajevo. It is unacceptable to discuss the most important state issues outside the main state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- The BiH Constitution does not recognize meetings of party leaders, but exclusively sessions of the state authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 
- The Election Law of Croatia is not discussed outside the Croatian Parliament in Zagreb, just as the Election Law of Serbia is not discussed outside the National Assembly of Serbia in Belgrade. Why and for what purpose is the BiH Election Law discussed outside the BiH Parliament?!
- The BiH Constitution and the laws of our country are discussed in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, not in hotels, motels, and cafes. The state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is an internationally recognized state and has its legal institutions. Any change to the BiH Constitution or individual laws must be agreed upon solely and exclusively within the institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- No one has the right to illegally appropriate discussions and agreements on amending the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina and discuss them outside state institutions.
- Shifting political attention to discussions about the BiH Election Law in Neum is the most ordinary smokescreen behind which Milorad Dodik pursues anti-Dayton separatist activities with the aim of destroying the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Only naive politicians do not recognize this," stated Bećirović.
