Bećirović: There is no dilemma between state or nation, state or party - the state must be before and above everything

(Patria) - BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović said at a ceremonial academy in Cazin that Bosnia and Herzegovina is under attack from nine dangerous strategies of lies and manipulation.

"The first strategy is the strategy of redirecting attention. There is a targeted attempt to redirect people's attention from fatefully important issues to unimportant ones. They try to inundate people with a flood of irrelevant information so they do not think about crucial matters essential for preserving the state.

The second strategy is the gradual dismantling of the state, from month to month, from year to year. The architects of this strategy know that a sudden dismantling of the state would provoke strong resistance, and therefore they want to achieve their goals through years of exhaustion and a policy of small steps. Their intention is to imperceptibly destroy the state in peacetime, without Bosnian-Herzegovinian patriots even being aware of the tectonic changes.

The third strategy is the planned creation of turmoil and confusion to present enemies as friends and friends as enemies. We must recognize this and not allow this vicious deception.

The fourth strategy is political, psychological and media habituation of people to the project of dividing the state. The public is systematically being prepared to calmly and without resistance accept the cataclysm of breaking up the state.

The fifth strategy is the abuse of emotions with the aim of preventing rational judgment. An approach is deliberately imposed in which we should replace critical awareness with emotional impulses (anger, fear, etc.).

The sixth strategy is based on strong media indoctrination so that people do not understand the mechanisms of manipulation and the scale of danger. The goal of this strategy is to keep people in as high a degree of ignorance as possible to make it easier to implement manipulative steps.

The seventh strategy is creating an atmosphere of insecurity, apathy and pessimism. They try to make us loathe everything that is Bosnian-Herzegovinian. Anti-Bosnian centers of power want us to renounce our history, our culture, our faith, our language, our state, our heroes…

The eighth strategy is discrediting all relevant forces and individuals who defend the state. The goal of this strategy is to expose all BiH patriots to a strong attack from outside, while simultaneously having installed individuals from within who equate the responsibility of those who destroy and those who defend the state. It is no coincidence that we have a series of texts discrediting Bosnian-Herzegovinian cadres. This is part of a dangerous project.

The ninth strategy is causing disunity and fragmentation among forces fighting for the preservation of the state. That is why calls for pro-state forces to unite in the fight for issues of capital importance for the state cause the most panic.

Why did I speak about these nine dangerous strategies? We must warn people about this hellish plan. We must inform people truthfully, raise their awareness, connect them and activate them. Only with the state do we have a secure future."

In his speech on the occasion of Cazin City Day, Bećirović said that this is an important date not only for Cazin, but for the entire Krajina region and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Cazin is a city of heroes, a city of honest and hardworking people. From a small Bosnian town, in the last ten years it has developed into a modern European city that the entire Krajina and Bosnia and Herzegovina are proud of. Today, from Cazin, I want to say that there is no trading with the homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina is sacred.

There are no dilemmas: state or nation, state or faith, state or party, state or family. The state must be before and above everything. Why am I saying this? Because without the state we will not preserve the nation, nor faith, nor parties, nor families.

The state is not just a mere bureaucratic apparatus, it is something more, more substantial and more existential. For us, it is the fundamental prerequisite for freedom and survival. It is time for all political entities to understand this. The sooner, the better. Our country does not need one-off messages, but long-term and statesmanlike ones. We must dethrone stupidity, naivety, vanities and the insatiable desire for power. It is time to recognize the mainstream of Bosnian-Herzegovinian history and let it be an inspiration for us to reach the best solutions.

We must overcome everything that numbs our caution and strength. Citizens and peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina need the truth, because half-truths and untruths destroy the present and threaten the future. Accepting a historical lie is a crime in peacetime! The principles of defense of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina were absolutely opposite to the aggressor's concept of ethnic persecution, mass war crimes and genocide. They were based on the fight for the human rights of every person and the building of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a state of equal citizens and peoples.

The civilizational, legal and moral distinctions between those who defended and those who attacked Bosnia and Herzegovina are clear to anyone who wants to look the facts in the eye. Legal and illegal, democratic and criminal, civilizational and anti-civilizational cannot and must not be equated.

In turbulent times of undisguised threats to the constitutional order, we must be united in defending an independent, sovereign and indivisible Bosnia and Herzegovina. In normal political circumstances, it is desirable for political parties to compete in offering ideas, programs and projects for a better organization of internal affairs in the state. However, in times of direct and brutal attacks on the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is necessary to gather, connect and coordinate the activities of pro-Bosnian parties in a common front for the preservation of the homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We must completely subordinate party, group and individual interests to state interests. Personal, group, party or any particular animosities and vanities cannot and must not be placed before state interests.

Among pro-Bosnian parties, there must be no division into government and opposition when deciding on capital issues such as: preserving and affirming the independence and sovereignty of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, protecting the territorial integrity of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, respecting and affirming the principles of constitutionality and legality, unconditional support for accelerating the Euro-Atlantic integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina; promoting and ensuring human and civil freedoms.

To political extremists, as well as their mentors outside the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we must resolutely and unanimously make it clear that we will respond to any activity that threatens the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina institutionally, unanimously and decisively.

What to do and how to move forward?

We must start correcting mistakes that have been accumulating for years and decades. This is not simple, but it is healing. It is not good practice to disempower legal state bodies and transfer substantive decision-making into the hands of party leaders and their headquarters. It is not good for party leaders to talk in hotels while state bodies do not work.

It is not good for party leaders to turn parliaments and governments into flow-through boilers, rather than places of genuine decision-making. These are some of the mistakes we must start correcting.

May there be mercy on all noble Bosnian-Herzegovinian martyrs and may there be eternal memory of the fallen fighters of our defensive-liberation war!

Let us protect our only homeland - Bosnia and Herzegovina! May Bosnia and Herzegovina live forever," said Bećirović.
