Bećirović: We must preserve the legacy of the Patriotic League of BiH in the future as well

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović spoke today with a delegation of the Association of Veterans of the Patriotic League of BiH.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Patriotic League of BiH, General Sulejman Vranj, Avdo Hebib, Mustafa Ramić and Agan Delibajrić.

Opinions were exchanged on the current challenges facing Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on the importance of institutional and democratic struggle for the state.

Representatives of the Patriotic League of BiH recalled that the Patriotic League of BiH was the fundamental resistance organization, which in crucial moments showed determination and readiness to defend the independence, sovereignty and integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The idea of defending the homeland, on which the Patriotic League of BiH was established, was based on the aspiration to build an independent and democratic state of equal citizens and peoples, where equality would prevail.



During the conversation, Bećirović emphasized that the Patriotic League of BiH, in the most difficult moments for the survival of the state, showed courage, determination and organizational ability to confront the aggressors against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the context of today's threats, especially the destructive and anti-Dayton policies of the leadership of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity of the RS and attempts to undermine the constitutional and legal order, Bećirović stressed that all state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina must carry out their legally established duties and defend the independence, sovereignty and indivisibility of the homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina by all available means.

Defending the multi-ethnic state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the most important task for all democratic forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The participants of the meeting agreed that the legacy of the Patriotic League of BiH must be institutionally preserved and passed on as part of the broader collective memory of the struggle for freedom and survival of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
