Bećirović, Komšić and Cvijanović express condolences to the family of murdered police officer Ozren Maran

(Patria) - BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić strongly condemned last night's attack on the police station in Bosanska Krupa and sent a telegram to the family of the murdered police officer Ozren Maran.

"With great sadness and concern, I received the news of the attack that occurred last night on the police station in Bosanska Krupa, with, unfortunately, a tragic outcome. I most strongly condemn this terrorist act, for which an urgent and effective investigation must be conducted as soon as possible, as well as all necessary measures for its prevention.

I extend my sincerest condolences and sympathy to the family of the murdered police officer Ozren Maran, the Bosanska Krupa Police Department, the Fifth Police Administration, and all colleagues of the deceased police officer. I wish the injured police officer a speedy and successful recovery."

BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović also issued a statement, sending a telegram of condolences to the family of the murdered police officer Ozren Maran.

"I was extremely shaken by the news of the death of police officer Ozren Maran, who was killed in the attack on the police station in Bosanska Krupa. I strongly condemn this terrorist act, and I expect an urgent and effective investigation from the competent authorities into the motives and causes of the attack in which the police officer lost his life while honorably performing his duty.

I extend my deepest condolences and sincerest sympathy to the Maran family in their pain."

The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, most strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Bosanska Krupa. In Bećirović's telegram of condolences to the family of the murdered police officer Ozren Maran, it is stated:

"Dear Maran family,

I sincerely sympathize with you over the enormous and irreparable loss for your entire family, friends, and colleagues of police officer Ozren Maran. Please accept my sincere condolences, along with a message of support to overcome these difficult times."


Also, the Chairman of the BiH Presidency expressed his wish for a speedy recovery for the injured police officer Avdo Hasanović.


The attack on the police station and police officers must be treated as an attack on the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We must resolutely oppose extremists with all available forces, Bećirović stated.
