Bećirović and Pavić Remain Heads of the Municipalities of Centar and Prijedor

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina today at a session in Sarajevo accepted a request for the rejection of a candidate's mandate, thus accepting the request for rejection of the mandate that Dževad Bećirević, as a candidate of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina, received in the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton and awarded it to the next candidate of the SDP BiH from the list, Hamed Aljović, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
 
The CEC today also adopted the Instruction for the application of Article 1.8 and Article 1.3 of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which clarifies the application of the said legal norm regarding the incompatibility of functions from the day of publication of the confirmed election results until the constitution of the new executive authority and the procedure for rejecting the mandate of the elected candidate.
 
According to the Instruction, the incompatibility of functions for elected mandate holders does not include the performance of necessary functions in the executive authorities of the previous mandate, from the day of publication of the results in the "Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina" until the constitution of the new executive authority.

The Instruction specifies that the elected candidate rejects the mandate in the representative body by signing a statement of rejection of the mandate, which he signs in person at the seat of the CEC of Bosnia and Herzegovina or at the seat of the body to which he was elected, on form PPU-1.

The CEC of Bosnia and Herzegovina today accepted the request for rejection of the mandate of the candidate of the coalition DNS-NS-SRS, Marko Pavić, for deputy in the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska and awarded his mandate to the next candidate on the list of this coalition, Duško Ivić. Pavić will remain the head of the Municipality of Prijedor and will remain in that position for the next two years.

The request for rejection of the mandate of the candidate of the coalition SDS-PUP-SRS Republika Srpska, Milovan Bjelica, for deputy in the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska was also accepted, and his mandate was awarded to the next candidate on the list of this coalition, Novak Motika.

The termination of the mandate of councilor in the Assembly of the Municipality of Rogatica, Kemo Čandžija, due to his candidacy for the Council of Peoples of the Republika Srpska, was established, and his mandate was awarded to the next candidate on the SDA list, Uzeir Kurtić. 

The mandate of Nermin Ogrešević, who is the head of the Municipality of Cazin from the Coalition "Together for Una-Sana Canton" in the Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton, was awarded as a substitute to Rasim Pajić.

In the Assembly of the Posavina Canton, the mandate won by Marjan Oršolić from the coalition gathered around the HDZ was awarded as a substitute to Ilija Ilić, and the mandate of Mate Brkić from the coalition gathered around the HDZ was awarded to Željko Ćošković. 

In the Assembly of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton, the mandate won by Muhamed Ramović from the Alliance for a Better Future of Bosnia and Herzegovina was awarded to the next candidate on the list, Nihad Čula.   

Councilor in the Assembly of the Municipality of Krupa, Sanil Hasić from the Ecological Party, resigned from this position due to his election to the Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton, and the substitute mandate was awarded to Mirzet Veladžić. 

The mandate of Sanel Mušović from the SBB in the Municipal Council of Goražde, due to his election to the Assembly of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton, was awarded as a substitute to Dževad Bekrija.

Councilor of the Municipal Council of Visoko, Halid Dervišević from the BPS, resigned from this position for personal reasons, and his mandate was awarded to Husnija Merdić from the same party.
