Bećirović and Konaković visit Ilidža: This municipality is the pride of the Canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - A large number of Ilidža residents remember today for returning to their homes and hearths, and the Municipality of Ilidža marks March 12 as the Day of the Municipality.

Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our homeland Elmedin Konaković paid tribute to our Municipality today, and they were hosted by the Mayor of the Municipality of Ilidža Nermin Muzur and the President of the Municipal Council of Ilidža Tarik Stambolić.

The high delegations paid tribute to all those who perished in the area of our local community during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina by laying flowers and reciting Fatiha at the Central Memorial to the martyrs, fallen soldiers, and civilian victims of the Municipality of Ilidža, but in this way also expressed respect for Ilidža, its citizens, and everything it represented in the past and what it represents today.

- We are proud to have hosted such a representative delegation, which has certainly never appeared in the Municipality of Ilidža before. The fact that you are here with us today and that you have honored us with this visit, I believe, speaks volumes about our work and the work of our Municipality - said Mayor Nermin Muzur, emphasizing that this will certainly be an incentive for new challenges and projects that await Ilidža in this year.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Ilidža informed the high guests about some basic and latest data related to our local community, according to which Ilidža is at the very top, especially when it comes to the economy and tourism, where it is the absolute tourism leader according to data for 2023.

The conclusion of the meeting is that the Municipality of Ilidža is certainly the pride of the Canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it is interesting that the information about the opening of EU negotiations with our country found the member of the BiH Presidency and the Minister of Foreign Affairs during their stay in Ilidža.

Finally, it is worth emphasizing that the Day of the Municipality of Ilidža will be marked by laying flowers at two locations and a Formal Session of the Municipal Council.
